Ms. Lowrey Redmond, M.I.A

Ms. Lowrey Redmond is the chief operating officer of the Center for Global Health Practice and Impact at Georgetown University Medical Center. She has more than 20 years of experience in global health. As a senior operations and development executive, she has successfully designed, managed, and grown domestic and international public health programs around the world – including in India, Nepal, Nigeria, Uganda, and Zambia – as well as complex global and regional programs. She also brings field and program experience in health systems strengthening, infectious diseases, and maternal and child health.

As COO, Ms. Redmond will contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the Center and lead operations, finance, and business development. As a part of the senior leadership team, she will provide critical input into the future of global health at Georgetown University.

Previously, Ms. Redmond has held leadership positions in the areas of business and field operations, revenue and program growth, and business development. As chief growth officer at Malaria No More, she led transformative business development strategies that included renewal and expansion of strategic partnerships and program growth in new markets. She has over 10 years of developing, managing, and tracking the performance of departments and organizations; designing innovative tools, and improving management accountability. She has filled critical interim leadership roles in field programs, including Country Director in India and MCH Director in Nigeria. She has experience building international programs and managing grants and contracts with stakeholders and multiple donors including USAID, CDC, Gates Foundation, and others.

Ms. Redmond holds an M.I.A in economic and political development from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a B.A. in international affairs and business from Lafayette College. She was a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal.
