Mr. Patrice Vallon
Mr. Patrice Vallon recently joined the CGHPI team at Georgetown University in May 2022, as Finance Manager of TIDE-Haiti. He manages all in-country program finances according to Federal rules and regulations, institutional policies and procedures, national laws and regulations, and internationally accepted good accounting and financial management standards. He ensures that allocated funds are managed according to approved work plans and with proper funder approval. He provides in-country leadership in financial management, accounting, and compliance.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, advanced training in finance and compliance, and certificates in: Audit and Internal Control, Fraud and Corruption with IIA; Project Evaluation and Monitoring with the Institute of Management Training; International Organizations Management with the University of Geneva; Project Development & Management in the NGO Sector with Human Rights Education Associates. He is an active member of IIA Global, a candidate in the US-CPA program with Becker Professional Education, and in the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification program with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
He has over 15 years of professional experience in the following fields: Administration-Accounting-Compliance-Finance and Project Management.
Prior to joining the Center, he held several managerial positions with international organizations including Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Concern Worldwide, European Union, American Cooperation and World Bank. He supported the operations management team, was actively involved in financial planning and management, and carried out internal audits. He has held various positions of responsibility in implementing development programs and projects: PARPANASA, PRAN, Livelihoods, Return To Neighborhoods (RTN), and World Bank Markets. The diversity of the positions he has held has enabled Patrice to develop skills in managing financial operations, including budgeting, cash management, preparation of tax returns, and compliance with financial regulations. In the coming years, his dearest goal is to become an international finance expert and corporate policy developer.
