Dr. Rufaro Mapoana

Dr. Rufaro is a Senior Clinical Advisor for the Georgetown University Center for Global Health Practice and Impact in Eswatini. She provides oversight of Manzini zone 1 activities including capacity building of health facility staff in implementing strategies and guidelines in TB/HIV activities, supporting the zonal teams to utilize data for mentorship. She is the organization’s cervical cancer thematic lead. Prior to joining Georgetown University worked as a senior medical officer in the Ministry of Health of Eswatini. She has 13 years of experience implementing HIV/TB services in health facilities in Eswatini. She holds a master’s degree in Epidemiology and a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery.
