Ms. Vanessa Da Costa, MPH is a Technical Assistance Provider for the Center for Global Health Practice and Impact at Georgetown University Medical Center.
Ms. Da Costa brings more than a decade of public health experience at the intersection of data strategy, analysis, evaluation, visualization, and communication. She previously served as a Data Consultant in the Maternal and Child Health Division and as a Data Analysis Advisor in the HIV/AIDS Division at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). She also served as an HIV/AIDS Epidemiology Fellow with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in South Africa. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Data Coach and Curriculum Developer for Correlation One and served as a Peace Corps Community Health Volunteer in Rwanda. Her research experience includes work with the Rwanda Zambia HIV Research Group, Georgia Emerging Infections Program, Duke Global Health Institute, RTI International, and the UNC Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research.
Ms. Da Costa holds a Master of Public Health in Global Epidemiology from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in African Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
