In the Pacific Islands Region, we are working to enhance the ability of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, and Palau to fulfill their priority health systems functions. To that end, we are conducting a needs assessment of the countries’ health systems to determine their capacity and responsiveness to the health needs of their citizens. This assessment will drive the co-creation of an actionable strategic framework for sustainable improvements across the health system building blocks, as well as a clear investment and health workforce development plan to help realize the goals outlined in the strategic framework.
